Dr Jonica Newby is confirmed as a keynote speaker for EMPA Australia 2024. Dr Jonica Newby is a science reporter, author, speaker, TV presenter and director, best known for her two decades on ABC TV’s popular weekly science program, Catalyst. She has twice won Australia’s most prestigious science journalism award, the Eureka Prize, and is recipient of a World TV Award. Her new book Beyond Climate Grief is the result of the quest for answers she undertook in the apocalypse-tinged summer of 2019 – 2020.
